* The most important step- you should test water chemistry twice a week which should to determine water quality and adjust chemical usage as needed.

* Sweep or hose off any debris on the deck area.

* Use a pole brush to clean walls, steps, and other surfaces of the pool once a week.

* Run a skimmer net over the surface to remove debris in the pool.

* Vacuum the pool as needed with a vacuum head with hose. Run the vacuum along the bottom to pick up dirt and debris. If you have a lot of leaves, you may want to use a leaf bagger.

* Check the water level and if water has evaporated you should add water half way up the tile.

* Check the skimmer baskets and if they have debris empty the skimmer baskets.

* Clean the pool pump strainer basket and inspect the pump for leaks or noises.

* Check the filter pressure to see if the filter needs to be cleaned or backwashed.

* Look for stains like algae, metal stains, and scale and treat as necessary.

* Use an automatic cleaner between cl
